Microsoft InfoPath
Captaris Workflow makes it easy to integrate InfoPath forms into business processes by enabling the InfoPath template and
then extending the XML data from the form directly into Captaris Workflow. Extending that XML data into the Captaris Workflow
facilitates:
-
Distribution of the XML data to other systems and applications (internal or external)
-
Applying business rules to the routing of InfoPath forms and using data from the InfoPath form itself as the criteria to determine
the routing
Captaris Workflow provides users with flexible integration options including:
-
Adding the InfoPath template as a resource object and workflow enabling the InfoPath form for direct connectivity to the Captaris
Workflow model
-
Using Webservices to connect the InfoPath form to Captaris Workflow. This enables users to complete the form offline and then
submit the form to the workflow when the user is back online
-
Incorporating SharePoint into the Captaris Workflow - InfoPath model to provide a central repository for InfoPath forms. The
workflow can then be updated either from the InfoPath form itself, using webservices, or by the SharePoint upload event that
occurs when the InfoPath form is saved to SharePoint
Captaris Workflow can also be used to accelerate integration between Microsoft InfoPath and Microsoft BizTalk. Captaris Workflow
easily integrates with each product and therefore can rapidly establish connectivity between the two. Organizations that wish
to use InfoPath to provide human input into BizTalk orchestrations are able to quickly establish the InfoPath BizTalk relationship
using Captaris Workflow as the integrator. Captaris Workflow workflow integration eliminates the need for connective scripting,
enables rapid workflow changes, provides users with the ability to monitor activities and extends an organization's overall
integration options to include SharePoint, CMS, MBS, Office Systems, and more.
