Captaris provides minor updates (e.g 5.0 to 5.2) free of charge. Free updates include service releases, service patches, and
minor releases. Customers wishing to obtain a major upgrade (e.g. 5.2 to 6.0) must purchase the later software. Please contact
Technical Support before upgrading from versions prior to 4.1.1. To purchase major upgrades of FaxPress software, please contact Sales.
Captaris offers a 30-day evaluation period for those who install a major upgrade. Customers can choose to enable the 30-day
evaluation period when the prompted for an activation key and install a permanent activation key at any time during or after
the evaluation period. Contact Sales to obtain a permanent activation key.
Note: Evaluating a major upgrade does not revert to the previous version at the end of the evaluation period. When the evaluation
period expires the software will cease to operate until a permanent activation key is installed.

that have been made since the previous public release.

Customers are encouraged to backup FaxPress servers regularly and before installing any update or upgrade. Before applying
any update or upgrade, please ensure that the FaxPress server is idle (no active faxes or user activity). After the update
or upgrade has been applied, please restart the FaxPress server.
