Captaris is pleased to announce the availability of Service Release 3 for Workflow 6.5. This Service Release contains updates for several customer reported issues and enhancements including:

•         Soap serializer error occurring when viewing TaskList in Workflow Manager after logging in with HTTP protocol.

•         Defect which did not allow users to view or execute Workflow tasks from Microsoft Outlook.

•         Security fix implemented for Workflow Web Access and Workflow Web Wizard.

•         Exceptions thrown on clicking TimeLine View.

•         Improved Generate Document flow.

•         Task Notes icon disappearing when a model is imported.

•         Unhandled exception thrown when resetting tasks.

•         Assign Task Custom Action Workflow relationship option not displaying the relationships on the client machine.

•         Exception thrown while adding Captaris Workflow project to the ASP.Net Website solution.

•         Updates to various Assemblies. A complete list of the updated Assemblies is mentioned in Readme for SR3.

Database Upgrade on 64-bit Server

* This is not applicable for users upgrading from Feature Pack1 Hotfix1 and the later releases

To install Service Release 3 on 64-bit database servers, run the following database scripts:

•         UpdateTeamplateDatabase.sql

•         UpdateTeamplateDatabaseConcurrencyPatch.sql

Database Uninstall on 64-bit Server

* This is not applicable for users uninstalling to Feature Pack1 Hotfix1 and the later releases

To uninstall Service Release 3 on 64-bit database servers, run the third script file titled RemoveTeamplateDatabaseConcurrencyPatch.sql

Captaris is pleased to announce the availability of Service Release 2 for Workflow 6.5. This Service Release is cumulative and contains new fixes plus all the fixes from previous HotFixes. Service Release 2 contains updates for several customer reported issues including:

• Improved the deploying feature of models with Web Tasks.
• Improved the performance of Task List view in Web Access.
• Fix for defect where MSMQ Triggers were not working.
• Fix for defect that was unable to trigger event task the second time when a new Time based event is set on the first execution of the event task.
• Fix for Task List view which takes a longer time to load with KPI columns and more process.
• Fix for defect where the event service does not release memory after catching the file drop trigger.
• Fix for the error ‘unable to create new task list view’ when model id is above 64K.
• Fix for Task Properties window where the Completion date display was the same as the Start date.

Workflow 6.5 Service Release 2

Do not apply Service Release 2 to a stand-alone Captaris Workflow Database installation running on a 64-bit server. Instead, if the upgrade is done from a version earlier to Feature Pack 1 HotFix 1 then, manually run the UpdateTeamplateDatabase.sql and UpdateTeamplateDatabaseConcurrencyPatch.sql script on the 64-bit server. There are no Database scripts to run, if the upgrades are from Feature Pack 1 HotFix 1.

Before installing Captaris Workflow Service Release 2, please note that Workflow must be re-activated by contacting Captaris.  After installation of 6.5 Service Release 2 is complete, run the activation utility and provide Captaris (by phone 1-520-320-7070 or email support@captaris.com) with your new license code, and you will be provided with a new activation key.  This step is not required if you are upgrading from Base HotFix 1 or Feature Pack 1 or the Feature Pack 1 HotFix 1 installation which has already been re-activated.

To uninstall Service Release 2 but not the entire product under a 64bit database, please run the third script file titled RemoveTeamplateDatabaseConcurrencyPatch.sql. This script need not be run if the upgrade was done from Feature Pack 1 HotFix 1.

Captaris is pleased to announce the availability of Service Release 1 for Workflow 6.5 FP1. This Service Release contains updates for several customer reported issues including:

• Concurrency issue while running parallel web tasks.
• Exporting/importing web forms created with the IDE and imported into the Web Workflow Wizard not accepting back color, selected list items and list items always displaying an empty item in the view.
• The business rules builder in the Web Workflow Wizard throwing an exception on user entered values.
• Use of SQL Server session state in Workflow WebAccess.
• The send email action used in the Web Workflow Wizard.
• Installer to update the licensing without disturbing other product's licensing using the same registry structure.

The Feature Pack 1 Service Pack 1 installer should not be run on a standalone SharePoint 2003 machine running on the .NET 1.1 Framework. For the SharePoint fixes required in this environment use the Workflow 6.5 FeaturePack_1_ServicePack_1_NETV1.1.zip and follow the directions contained in the zip file Readme.

To install Feature Pack 1 Service Pack 1 on 64-bit database servers run the following database scripts:

WorkFlow 6.5 FP1 is now ready for General Availability and includes several requested features, such as;

• Updated OLAP Cube on SQL 2005 leveraging Integration Services, Analysis Services and Reporting Services.  Workflow metrics can be sliced and analyzed for advanced reporting capabilities.  Please note that SQL 2005 Enterprise Edition is required (minimum Service Pack 2).
• Event Service packaged with advanced diagnostic features.  The file drop trigger now supports higher volume transactions.
• User configurable locale time zone viewing for task lists.

Improved Workflow Web Access Featuring:

• User defined schedules for Workflows to be started on a regular basis.
• Claim or re-assign multiple tasks with a single click in any Web Access task list.
• Ability to view models you own and schedules defined.

Captaris announces the availability of Workflow 6.5 HotFix 1

This update addresses several customer reported issues as well as some specific functional enhancements. For a complete list of issues addressed please refer to the Readme.

Captaris Workflow Hot Fix 1 should only be installed on English versions of Captaris Workflow.

Please uninstall the Hotfix1 update prior to uninstalling Workflow 6.5. To view updates it in the Add/Remove Programs, ensure that the “Show Updates” check box is checked in Add/Remove Programs.

Captaris announces the availability of Workflow 6.0 Hot Fix 4

This update addresses several customer reported issues as well as some specific functional enhancements. For a complete list of issues addressed please refer to the Readme.  This Hot Fix is cumulative and includes all previous fixes addressed in prior Hot Fixes as well as replacing any prior installations of Hot Fixes for Workflow 6.0.

Please Note: This Hot Fix requires configuration after installation.  Please ensure the configuration application is run after the installation of the Hot Fix (this should happen automatically after the Hot Fix install).
