This document provides late-breaking or other information that supplements the RightFax documentation. Service packs are the means by which RightFax product updates are distributed from the Captaris Web site. A service pack may contain updates for system reliability, program compatibility, performance improvements, and more. All service packs are cumulative. Each contains new fixes plus all the fixes from previous hot fix and service pack releases.
This document describes the current update to this version of RightFax Enterprise Fax Manager Web Edition. It provides installation instructions and a brief description of problems fixed with this release.

Please Read This First This
service pack should be installed only on the Microsoft IIS server on which
RightFax 8.5 Enterprise Fax Manager Web Edition is installed. |
This service pack should be installed on IIS computers that are running version 8.5 of Enterprise Fax Manager Web Edition. Follow these steps to confirm that a computer has this version of Enterprise Fax Manager Web Edition installed.
From the Windows Desktop, select Start > Settings > Control Panel. This opens Windows Control Panel.
Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
Scroll through the list of programs. If Captaris Web EFM appears in the list of installed programs, then you should close the Add/Remove Programs dialog box and install the RightFax 8.5 Service Pack 5 for Enterprise Fax Manager Web Edition on this computer.
To update your software, Microsoft Windows Installer will patch your existing RightFax installation by replacing existing files with updated files and installing new files.
On the Microsoft IIS computer you are updating, run the program RightFax 8.50 SP5 WebEFM Patch.exe that you extracted from the downloaded .zip file.
At the introductory screen, click Update. A status bar will indicate the progress of the installation.
When the installation is complete, click Finish.
