Thomas M. Murnane - Director
THOMAS M. MURNANE (age 60) has served as a director of Captaris since July 2003. From July 1988 until September 2002, Mr.
Murnane was a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he served as Director of the firm’s Retail Strategy Consulting
Practice and later as Global Director of Marketing and Brand Management for PwC Consulting. Since retiring as a Partner from
PricewaterhouseCoopers in October 2002, Mr. Murnane has served on the Boards of Directors and Audit Committees of each of
Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc., a specialty apparel retailer, Finlay Enterprises, Inc., a specialty jewelry retailer,
and The Pantry, Inc., a convenience store chain, where he is Lead Director. Mr. Murnane serves as the Chairperson of the Governance
Committee at Finlay Enterprises, Inc. and The Pantry, Inc. and is on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of
The Pantry, Inc. In addition, he is a founder and principal of ARC Business Advisors, a consulting firm that advises on merger
and acquisition transactions involving retail and apparel companies, and provides research and strategic consulting services
to retailers and their suppliers. As a strategy consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1980 until 1998, Mr. Murnane worked
with several well-known retail and consumer products companies, led the development of the business strategy for PwC Consulting
and later oversaw the development of the new brand for PwC Consulting, in connection with its intended initial public offering.
Mr. Murnane also served on PwC Consulting’s Executive Committee from July 1998 until July 2001. Mr. Murnane holds a B.S.B.A.
degree and an M.B.A. degree from The Ohio State University.
