Patrick J. Swanick - Director
PATRICK J. SWANICK (age 49) has served as a director of Captaris since November 2003. Mr. Swanick spent nearly 26 years in
the financial services industry, holding various executive level positions in retail and commercial banking, operations, technology
and e-commerce. Mr. Swanick currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Gila Corporation, a privately held firm specializing
in outsourced collections, payment processing and call center services for governmental entities and financial institutions
nationwide. From June 1992 until January 2005, Mr. Swanick was employed by KeyCorp, a financial services company based in
Cleveland, Ohio. At KeyCorp, he served as President of the Retail Bank, CEO of Key Electronic Services and Vice Chairman of
KeyBank, N.A. In various other assignments, Mr. Swanick was KeyCorp’s executive in charge of all Call Centers, ATMs, Retail
Operations, Consumer Product Management, Online Banking and Electronic Payments. Prior to his employment with KeyCorp, he
was a senior executive with Fidelity Bank and First Fidelity Bancorporation in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, both now part of
Wachovia Corporation. He is a director of Tyfone, Inc., a privately held technology company focused on the mobile payments
marketplace. Mr. Swanick also serves as a director of First Partners, Inc., the parent company of Gila Corporation. Mr. Swanick
holds a B.S. degree in marketing, with a minor in Spanish, and an M.B.A. degree in management, from Saint Joseph’s University
in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
