The HR Suite of models demonstrates how an HR Recruitment business process can be managed using Captaris Workflow. After installation, these models must be launched in the order below.

Recruitment Strategy Model
This model demonstrates the ability to create a Job Position Requisition and to select a recruitment strategy. For this sample model, Internal Posting is the only strategy that can be selected.

Internal Posting Model
This workflow manages the steps to approve the job position and to post it to an internal website. Once posted, applicants can apply for the position where the workflow will monitor the incoming applications and remove the posting based on the number of applicants or by the specified posting period.

Screen Resumes Model
This workflow provides a process to screen the resumes submitted to the internal posting site. It assists HR professionals in identifying candidates by firstly ensuring the candidates’ information is complete and to prepare a short list of applicants for the line department to interview.

Interview Shortlist Model
The purpose of this workflow is to manage the interviews with the short-listed applicants. It assumes a two-stage interview approach where both HR and the person requisitioning the position, each conduct separate interviews. It includes a step to check the selected candidate’s qualifications and references before proceeding to the Employee In-Take model.

Employee Intake Web Model
The purpose of this sample is to automate preparation and processing of the "letter of offer" and subsequent offer acceptance for a new employee hire. A confirmation letter establishes the starting date which is inserted into a "facilities work order" to ensure the new hire's office, telephone, computer, pass cards etc. are already in place on the employees start date.

This VS 2005 C# solution demonstrates how to build a set of custom actions for Workflow 6.5. These actions require the Workflow 6.5 XML Picker Window Control to be registered in the GAC. The XML Picker can be found in the Workflow Tools and Utilities section of this portal.

Actions include:

Set KPI Value *NEW for Workflow 6.5
With the expanded work done with KPI values now visible in a tasklist in Workflow 6.5, this custom action allows you to set a dynamic from xml or static value to a KPI.

Assign Group User (Task Load Balancing)
This custom action allows you to load balance the assignment of a task to a user specified in a group that has the least number of assigned tasks in the ready state. This task assignment only applies to Workflow processes that have been created from the model that the custom action is implemented.

Set Task Description
This custom action allows you to change the task’s description property. This action is useful when you need to change the name of the task after it is completed. For example changing it from “Needs Manager Approval” in the Ready state of the task to “Manager Approved” after the task has been executed by a manager and changed to a Complete state.

Create Folder
This custom action allows you to create a Workflow folder at run time of a process and to move the process to the newly created folder.

Move Process
This custom action allows you to pick a Workflow folder to move the process to.

Rename Process
This custom action allows you to rename a process during runtime.

Write To Event Log
This custom action will write process data to the event log.

Get Group Emails
This custom action allows you to retrieve individual member’s information from a specified Workflow group into a structured XML object including a user’s email, ID, first name, and last name. This action is useful when you need to send emails to all members of a group assigned to a task.

This example demonstrates how a Workflow developer can implement task locking and unlocking into their solution. Provided is a Visual Studio Workflow model and a web form project. The Workflow model has two tasks each associated with a different web page. One web page inherits the System.Web.UI.Page class while the other inherits the Teamplate.Web.UI.BaseWorkflowPage class. Each can accomplish the same task locking/unlocking functionality but in two different methods.
