BatchOCR is a Captaris Alchemy power tool that provides the ability to schedule Optical Character Recognition (OCR) runs against Alchemy repositories. This tool can OCR all TIFF images in a repository that currently do not have OCR information or its focus can be narrowed to a specific folder and all of its recursive children. To automate the batch OCR runs, simply schedule the tool with its command line arguments using Microsoft Window’s Scheduled Tasks system tools utility. BatchOCR will use an Index Station license when run on a machine with an Index Station client installed. Otherwise, BatchOCR will consume an Administrator license when run on a machine that has an Administrator client installed.
